Informative Speech On Photography

My informative speech was about the history of cameras. My original idea was to do how to take a good selfie, but half way into doing research about it, I realized that it was super hard to find different tips and information about how to take a good selfie. Most of the information I found was the same so I got the idea about the history of cameras because I had a couple really old cameras at home. I did really enjoy finding out about cameras and how they became a thing. I also thought about cameras because I thought about what things I enjoyed doing and I thought about how sometimes I enjoy taking pictures and photography in general, but I didn't want to do the history of photography because I thought that would be boring. What I did to prepare for my informative speech was one I thought about my topic, then I researched as much as I …show more content…

I thought that something that was different from my SHIELD speech than my informative was that I felt less pressured to look at my PowerPoint than in my shield speech and my poster. I do not actually think I would change that much from what I did in my shield speech and my informative speech because I did not change much between my shield speech and my informative. In a real world situation, you may need to give a speech about a topic you are given to debate with a different person to win something, or like if running for president you need to give a lot of speeches about different topics that better up yourself. After presenting and completing my visual informative speech, there were several strengths and weaknesses present throughout my speech. Some of my strengths, with respect to the content of the speech as I did my visual presentation, was that I did a good job with the introduction. The introduction involved introducing my topic and grabbing the attention of my audience. Also, I had great supporting materials and most importantly great organization of my main points. As for the delivery aspect of my speech, according to the video, I had a good posture and used my flash cards very well, which were very helpful in delivering my speech.…

Amanda Wilson Professor Leightenheimer English 1102-01 23 October 2017 Role and Pathos: How Eugene Debs Creates Relatability Crafting and reciting a speech can be an incredibly difficult requirement. The main difference between these and, for example, an essay, is that enunciation and delivery can make or break a speech. With this addition also comes extra importance on understanding and reading the responses of your audience to gauge effectiveness. Speeches need to have a form of an emotional pull to them, or else they sort of inadvertently transition to lectures rather than a form of persuasion. Actions can still be carried out in more logically oriented speeches, but that passion to push someone could be lost.…

The general purpose of this speech was to draw attention to our societal isolation, and how we don’t do enough to promote positive mental health. Mr. Junger talks about the horrors of war, and the toll it takes on veterans. He talks about PTSD and the mental health of these veterans. He then talks about how these veterans return to the U.S., and find themselves isolated and alone. He uses examples of how bad veteran suicide is here, and contrasts that with the Navajo warriors and Israeli soldiers.…

After watching my speech on video I recognized several things that beforehand I believed I had done well, and upon watching the speech, did do very well. Firstly was my organization, but mainly my introduction and main points. Both of these had all aspects covered and were easy to notice during the speech. Secondly I thought I did very well with my volume, rate, and vocal variety. These verbal delivery attributes came off very well in my speech and I was very happy to see that I could still execute these aspects.…

Introduction: Good morning teacher and my fellow students, today I will present to you all my speech topic: World War 2; a war that involved 12 countries and probably one of the bloodiest wars in all of history; a war that changed the world forever. Subtopic 1: When and How did World War 2 Start? World War 2 began on September 1, 1939; the Germans planned an unprovoked attack on Poland, then Britain and France got involved after Adolf Hitler – the German leader of the Nazis – refused to abort his attack on Poland which developed the warfare of Europe. I sometimes get nervous about what people are thinking about my speech when I am giving it but if I don’t judge people from the audience then I will have the mindset when I am on stage that people from the audience are not judging me. Lastly, I think that I will be able to get up in front of people and give a speech without getting extremely nervous. I haven’t had much experience with speaking in front of big groups but hopefully by the end of this semester I will be very good at it without having any nervous feelings if someone asked me to give a public…
