Summary Rough Draft
Rex Huppke explains in his article “In the Minimum Wage Debate, Both Sides Make Valid Points” that the issue on raising the minimum wage is not as simple as it seems. The nation is divided between raising the minimum wage or not, and at the beginning Huppke was all in favor of it. That was, however, until he did more research on the topic. There are some cons to raising the minimum wage that could include “the loss of 500,000 jobs” as reported by the Congressional Budget Office. Also, it is very difficult to predict the outcome of raising the minimum wage. Huppke explains, “Some markets might be able to absorb the change, while others might struggle.”
