Many people do not understand the importance of physical fitness and maintaining good health, therefore they ignore physical fitness and activities which then could lead to life threatening conditions such as heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, and many more. By enduring daily physical activities, you are not only improving the state and condition of your body, but your state of mind as well. This can benefit your mental state of mind by improving your confidence, and make you feel overall better about yourself and your looks. There are four primary components of fitness, cardio-respiratory capacity, muscular capacity, flexibility, and body composition. Flexibility is crucially important to the human body, increased flexibility allows more blood to flow to your muscles, decreased risk of an injury, and overall improves your posture. Body composition is the overall percentage of the fat, muscle, mass, water, and tissue composition of our bodies, daily physical fitness can overtime lower your body fat percentage, making your body more lean, and overall increase size and overall muscle. Benefits of maintaining a healthy body composition are better sleep, normal blood pressure, reduced pain in the joints, and back, and improves your overall BMI. Physical fitness can benefit you in many different ways such as reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis, stroke, and high blood pressure, etc. Maintaining a physically fit body will overall make you stronger, and live a healthy lifestyle. Being physically fit will improve the performance of all the muscles in your body including your heart, and helps with, balance, power, speed, coordination, and many more aspects. This will allow the person to simply relax and return to a calmer state of mind where he/she doesn’t need to worry about what is going on in the real world, because once they are in the gym, nothing else matters outside the gym, only the physical activities they are completing. Despite the difference of this benefit to the others discussed in the essay earlier, this is still a great reason to work out and be involved in physical fitness because it could lead to a better quality of life when things aren’t going the right way. Physical fitness has many benefits to the human body mentally, physically, and spiritually, it helps us form healthier habits such as daily physical activity, eating habits, and can reduce the chances of developing type 2 diabetes, circulatory problems, and becoming obese, etc.
