Trevor tells me a brief history of the company as well as a tour of the office, which shared with another media company called Maggie Vision. Mandalay Sports Media is a sports media company originally located out in Los Angeles, but a couple of years ago, they wanted to expand with an east coast office. So they bought a small company called Roadside Entertainment, which is what my office used to be. The bullpen was the largest room in the office with around six to seven computers. I sit down and Trevor gave me passwords and showed me exactly what I would be working on. Even though the office was small I didn 't get to meet many people. I actually only talked to two people who weren 't interns, Trevor and Kyle. Regardless, Trevor explains to me that the project that I will work on the most is for the ESPN award show the ESPYS. The ESPYS is an award show for athletes and other famous figures, such awards given out are Best Male Athlete, Game of the Year, and etc. As an avid ESPN viewer I was ecstatic to hear that. I love the ESPYS award show and I viewed it as an honor to have the privilege to provide help. One of my first tasks was to watch the games from the “Game of the Year” category and pull the best radio calls from those games. To do this task I needed to get familiar with a software called Wiretap. Wiretap records all the sound coming from your computer and saves it in a library. This reminded me of the work I did in COM
