I am a young, passionate, and dedicated Hispanic woman that will be the first generation in my family to pursue higher education at a University. My parents are immigrants from Mexico, and although they don 't have as many rights as American citizens, they take advantage of the right to raise American daughters and make sure that they become successful in life. The rigorous efforts of my parents to succeed in this country, has been the greatest inspiration to me to endeavor success in my career of choice. I am pursuing a career in the medical field, although challenging, it will be rewarding knowing that I could potentially push the boundaries of human knowledge and improve human life. Ever since then, I have never had a semester without having at least three college courses. My days would consist of seven hours at my high school, Marysville Academy for the Arts, another four hours spent in the afternoon at the Yuba College campus, and the rest of the day consisting of homework and extensive studying, while always maintaining a 4.1 GPA in high school and a 3.8 GPA in college. My arduous work eventually led me to graduate from high school one semester after my freshman year. This spring 2016 semester, I will commence my undergraduate studies as a full time college student, taking twenty-one credits, which will allow me to receive my associate 's degree in Natural Science in May of 2016, at the age fifteen. By then I will have completed all my credits to become a transfer student. According to ASSIST, an online student-transfer information system, I have taken just about all the classes that I 'm able to take at Yuba College for my Bachelor 's Degree major. Apart from academics, I spend most of my time, being active in my community.
