The factors responsible for a country’s integrated prosperity are its Natural and Human resources. They are its true strength. Human Resource Development of a country depends upon the quality of education made available in the country. Access to Higher Education is crucial for the development of a broadly based well-educated citizenry, a diverse and talented workforce, competitiveness in the global economy, reduced poverty and crime, strong families and communities and enhanced health and prosperity in our nation. As long as the community has no opportunity to pursue education, they will be in the dark. The following are some more reasons that will underline the need of education for LGBT:
1. Most of the transgender members in India are beggars or sex workers due to the lack of education. If they are educated they will be better employed and will be able to live a life of dignity.
2. With education they will get access to the ocean of knowledge that will help them to achieve satisfaction of material needs, social acclaim, self realisation and self-actualization.

it is quite clear that if we do not accept LGBT as an inseparable part of our society and stop discriminating them, there might be a violent agitation. With State & Central Government policies, welfare programs and scholarships, there will be increasing numbers of LGBT students in Higher Education. But are our academic institutions ready for this? According to several surveys held in countries like America, Canada, Israel, Africa, Kenya, Iceland etc. LGBT students face following problems in educational institutes.
1. The major problem is early drop outs from schools or colleges due to homophobic bullying, ostracizing, tormenting and discrimination.
2. Unsafe school environments prevent LGBT students from reaching their full academic potential. LGBT students who experience frequent harassment at schools report lower academic performance than straight students. Nearly one out of three LGBT students has skipped classes because they feel unsafe.
3. To escape socio-cultural rejection LGBT students do not dare expose their real sexual
