This letter is to advise you of the reasons that I have not been up to par with my grades. The issue that has caused me to not perform well in school is that I was helping out my sister. My sister has been diagnosing with Rhabdomyolysis. It’s when muscle tissue starts to rapidly break down due to your body forming too much protein. When this happens, it begins to affect the heart and kidneys, causing an increase in CT levels in the blood. If not medicated, it can cause serious symptoms such as a heart attack.
My sister went into the hospital because she was having pain in her leg. She was in and out of the hospital multiple times due to the doctors not knowing what it was that was causing the pain. So they were not able to diagnose her right away. The doctors ran test on her, and what they were able to determine was that whatever was going on in her body, it was affecting her kidneys. Believe it or not, being a part of your institute has giving me an immense boost of confidence. I’m going to school for me, but my impression now is that I need to prove that this is not who I am. I’m not a failure or a quitter. I have no intention of letting this defeat me. I whole heartedly want to see myself making it to the end. I want my family to see that I have accomplished my goal. I want my daughter to see that if you work hard no matter what obstacles you face to get there, results will come. I know that I have the capability to raise my GPA. I don’t like that I am in this situation, but I also believe that this is just a hiccup on my road to success. Now that it has come and pass my only option now is to excel from here.
