Since the inception of tourism in Bhutan in 1974, numerous infrastructures and accommodations have been made for the tourists coming to visit the country. As a result not only are the tourists receiving the benefits but also the local Bhutanese people. An additional source of development of infrastructure in Bhutan is Foreign Direct Investment (Sharma, Jadhav & Singh, 2012). Appropriately, the Bhutanese people profit from the situation enhancing their livelihood and living standard. Development of infrastructures in Bhutan includes roads, health facilities, sanitary facilities, recreational facilities and educational facilities. Though the primary purpose for the creation of these infrastructures may be for the tourists, the satisfaction is also shared to the Bhutanese people. Consequently the people of Bhutan reap the advantages because they can utilize all of the facilities created to further their living standard and also it contributes to a more comfortable and convenient lifestyle. The construction of domestic airports such as Yongphula airport, Gelephu airport and Bathpalathang airport could be an example.
