We are targeting modern society and the ignorance we have when it comes to the problems many, especially those who are less fortunate, face on a day to day basis. We face these small “problems” every day, but we are arrogant in realizing how minimal some of these troubles really are.
We want to criticize and make fun of society, including ourselves, in order to improve our judgement on what “problems” are genuine and authentic.

Caricature
We exaggerate society's characteristic of ignorance using the method of caricature. We overemphasize the features of our society; most that occur in our own lives. We address the “problems” that we go through on a day to day basis by emphasizing our reactions to them. …show more content…

We make it very clear in our video how much these “problems” bother us. We exaggerate our expressions and our reactions to show just how “horrible” these problems are.
Diction
Our word choice emphasizes our opinions in the video. We use words like “OMG, Are you kidding me?” and “UGH!”
We use words that the audience can relate with so our message is easily put across and we are relatable.
Irony
The topic “first world problems” itself is ironic. It is amusing that most people in our society consider these minor obstacles actual problems. We use irony to emphasize how ridiculous the “problems” are, and to criticize our ignorance to actual problems.
