Humorous Wedding Speech: Motivation In The Workplace

Good morning Bob,

Sir, I’ve been noticing my wife, Lori, has been coming more anxious day by day since our family has decided to move to Colorado. Last night she didn’t come to bed until 1am (please understand this is a woman who religiously gets her 8 hours). She then woke up with me before 6. I finally had to ask what was on her mind.

All her stresses and anxiety stem from not having enough information to tell her boss that we are planning on moving. So, I asked what information does she need to tell him with confidence that we are going. Mind you I told her about me departing on the 16th of January. The 2 weeks there, 2 weeks here. All the other details of my family’s relocation can come later. I assure you that we are going to move there. We have, in fact, already packed our first set of boxes. So please, anything you can offer in a way of confirmation to her and I of this process to make me a full-time employee in the company would be greatly appreciated. Even if this transition to full-time takes place after the first of the new year, we’d appreciate any information you can give us, so we can tell her boss next week the truth.

Thank you for your time. Please contact me with any questions or information you may

Gender roles seem to have been written in stone from the beginning of time, wherein men are expected to remain resourceful leaders who arrange and execute decisions, as well as provide for their families. These roles, however definite in the 1900s, shift between genders as circumstances grow demanding and difficult in John Steinbeck’s novel, The Grapes of Wrath, following the Joad family’s arduous journey to California during the Great Depression. As the Joads elude the dry devastation in Oklahoma, an apparent displacement of authority in the family arises, revealing the ideal adaptive and survival capabilities…
