How Two Different Positions Compare at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs When comparing two positions at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) hospital, you must recognized the similarities that come with every employee first. The majority of the employees at the VA must determine where they are going to park before they start their work day. If parking spaces in the back fill up, which they do quickly, most employees park at the Shriner’s Rite parking garage about four blocks away, and catch the shuttle that takes employees back and forth from each facility. This means that doctors, executives, sanitation workers, nurses, cafeteria workers, and anyone else all take the shuttle. There is no executive lunch area, nor a physician’s lounge
