The policies during 1865 to1900’s, focused more on the expansion of the United States. Whether it was to acquire territories or expand in military force. Throughout history these foreign policies were utilized to show other countries how the United States was able to protect its territories. For example,Roosevelt forced the construction of the panama canal to make routes between the countries simpler and faster.
