Hitler Youth was founded in 1926 in Germany, prior to World War II. Hitler Youth was made up of mainly young males. On the night of January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed the Chancellor of Germany.(the history place) By the year of 1933, the Hitler Youth had 3.5 million members. The increase in the group was mainly due to Hitler taking over Germany in his great power. The group had heavy emphasis on competition. Everything completed was turned into competition in some way for the Hitler Youth.(u.s holocaust museum) The Year of Training occurred in 1934. This therapy was to help de-Nazi the young Germans.to be healthy and physically strong. Hitler Youth taught the men become faithful to the Nazi party. In 1938, the group grew to 8.7 million members. By 1939, Hitler Youth Program had 765,000 young males serving in leadership roles.When a member of the Hitler Youth became 18 years old, they were required to join the German army immediately.
