Alfred Stieglitz is an artist who is largely responsible for the acceptance of photography as a form of art. He put his own reputation on the line and tried to share his experiences with art to the masses.
Alfred Stieglitz created a magazine called Camera Work and included many photographs inside of this magazine. The photography used in his magazine was often accompanied by essays regarding art. Stieglitz was able to create photographs and share them through his magazine to many people. His own photography was often considered “straight” or in other words without changing or altering the negative of the photo.
