Summary of Activities
Outside of our meeting on Sunday October 8th, I spent an hour looking up registration letters online, just to see what other examples are available. I was amazed at how many different registration styles there were. I coordinated with my classmates on clip art for the registration letter and downloaded the sample my professor uploaded for us. I completed the letter and I believe it’s perfect. I can’t wait for everyone to see it also. I’m also excited to see what my classmates have been up too.

The obvious and best solution to the problem of the normal anxiety and discomfort that are associated with attending one's first AA meeting is to go to the meeting with someone who knows the ropes. If no friend or acquaintance who happens to be an AA member is available, contact can always be arranged by calling the local AA Central Office and asking for a volunteer to telephone one. Although many people avail themselves of such measures to reduce the stress of their first AA meeting, many others find such logical preliminaries themselves too frightening and therefore do not follow them. It is principally to this last group, to those solitary and always frightened and confused "first timers," that this brief introduction is oriented.…

“Health” is something that I struggle to define. I don’t always think that I am a healthy person according to society’s standards; however, I look like I am because I fall into the category of “a “slothful [person] who happen[s] to be thin” that Kathleen Lebesco mentions in “Fat Panic and the New Morality,” (75). Some foods are nutritious and needed by our bodies. We occasionally indulge in things that make us feel good like chocolate, ice cream, or wine. People must find the right mix of nutritious and indulgences for their bodies to find their version of health.…

For some students, choosing to attend college after high school is an easy decision. Some are expected by their families to continue into higher education post high school graduation. I know a few people that are so motivated to attend college that they already know for sure what they are going to major in before they were even freshmen in high school. For me, I was not falling into that category. College was something I did not consider throughout my time in high school.…
