The free translation like the other translations has many versions such as one of the most popular, The Message and others like NIRV,GNT and CEV. All of the free translation versions are a paraphrase of the literal version. Looking at the first version of the bible and comparing it to the second version there isn’t a bit difference but the difference is seen at the end of the verse. In The NIV it says “and we can take nothing out of it.”(referring to the world)and in the ESV it says “and we cannot take anything out of the world.” both versions are saying the same thing it’s just the end of the verse the ESV once again emphasizes the world more than the NIV. The third version is very obviously paraphrased. If one looks at the ESV and The Voice and compares them they will notice that right away they have a big difference. “The Voice” seems to almost be referring to the irony of another verse by saying “This is ironic because godliness” while the ESV seems to have just started a new idea by saying “But …show more content…
Thanksgiving is this weekend and instead of anyone focusing on thanking the Lord for what they have an spending time with their family they are preparing for black friday which now starts on thanksgiving. If people would realize how meaningful and prophetic this verse is I think they would have a whole new outlook on black friday because I don’t think God intended on people paying to much for presents that they punched a guy for as something we should do after giving him thanks only hours before.
