Flexible Leadership In Human Services

In Human Services, client well-being is a reflection of staff well-being in all organizations. When problems arise with staff physically, mentally, or even psychologically, performance is affected and can inadvertently show up while providing services to clients. Staff well-being should consist of leaders who provide an environment that is safe and nurturing for the growth of an individual while being employed. “To be effective, managers must exercise flexible leadership.” (Brody & Nair, 2014, p.5) A good leader who knows their own strengths and weaknesses and that of their team will guide an organization to be successful. Leaders become knowledgeable of the qualities that their staff possess and where to best utilize their skill set.
