“NBA attendance dipped slightly to a little more than 17,300 a game compared to the WNBA league's overall average of 7,403” according to Tribune News and ESPN. Almost 10,000 less people go to the women's games then the mens, and people are saying they should get paid the same. Money made from tickets alone lead to a significant gap in the income of each team. Also “according to ESPN, MLS games on ESPN and ESPN2 have delivered an average audience of 312,000 viewers.” compared to the NWLS “set the league average at around 70,000 viewers” Men's soccer in the US has 445% more views than women's soccer in the US. That is just on TV as well if we looked at the game attendance like we did for the NBA the number would be even greater. Overall the male sports have a way bigger fanbase than the women and whoever has more fans should get more
