Upon reviewing my family history for this assignment . I discovered many shared characteristics of both nature and nurture . These characteristics involving medical issues such as high blood pressure , diabetes and other medical conditions and disorders are result of nature and biology. I also found out that long term marriages were more common on my maternal side of the family is an example of nurture given in a particular environment.
Also many characteristics patterns were interesting in the way that they laid throughout the four generations and certain sides in which they happened to manifest. Many characteristics of both nature and nurture become less predictable as the family have grown and expand.
The Characteristics that expand and exist in my family that result of nature are: High Blood Pressure (HBP) Diabetes , Heart disease , Cancer, and Thyroid problems. …show more content…
Diabetes also runs on both sides of the family and both my parents had cases of it and a few of my paternal aunts had passed away with complication from the disease and many are on dialysis due to the illness and this even resulting in me having a mild case of the disease .
When it comes to characteristics of nurture , those in particular cannot be missed when looking at my genogram project. My maternal sisters were all born and raised in St. Ann, Jamaica and are all married and living in the same area and their children also were born and lived in the same community.
