Throughout Anne’s diary entries she continues to display hope. Anne has a desire of being free again and living her old life. She displayed her resiliency through her writing. Despite the fact she was forced to live in fear, Anne writes with optimism and resiliency. The text demonstrates her resiliency to cope with the horrible situation she found herself in. ‘When I write I can shake of all my cares. My sorrow disappears, my spirits are revived.’ (Anne Frank, 2007 : 250) Anne was able to tolerate extreme circumstances by writing in her diary.
