Between 1995 and 2004 there were over 30,00 accidents by teen drivers. To prevent accidents by teen drivers should we raise the age limit from 16 to 18? Or have every state adopt graduated driver’s license?Some graduated driver’s license only let 16 year olds drive during the daytime or with an adult for a certain amount of hours.

Raising the driving age from 16 to 18 is a terrible idea. Having bad drivers at 16 then raising the age limit. There will be bad drivers at age 18. Teens should be able to drive starting at age 16 to get to work, school, or hanging out with friends. Instead of bugging their parents or older siblings, they can drive for themselves. Graduated driver’s license is a better idea than raising the age limit. Teens have to earn driving privileges than at once. Bad drivers need time to learn how to drive. With the gdl that would help and we would have less accidents from bad drivers. If teens have restrictions they may not be able to go out at night. …show more content…
Teens only need more practice with their parents in the car. With more practice they will get better and less accidents. If we raise it to 18 we will have accident - prone drivers at 18. Graduated driver’s license is best for teens who are not bad drivers, but it should not be for every
