Realism within art, for example paintings and sculptures, the piece must accurately reflect what it is based on in detail. One of the most famous sculpture, the Lincoln Memorial located in Washington D.C., accurately depicts Abraham Lincoln’s features. The evidence that was taken in account were his physical features, such as how his eyebrows were shaped, skin tone, the shape of his lips, the texture of his hair, and so on. The Lincoln Memorial, in detail depicts what Abraham Lincoln looked like through sculpting with the avoidance of stylization. By using the evidences as conclusion can be made, which would be the final piece of the artwork. The evidences are considered as the right conclusion because Lincoln was interpreted exactly as how he looks, there is no falsification to that. How an artwork is interpreted does not necessarily need in evidence because it interrelates to how one feel, but the process in creating the artwork, especially in realistic artworks is necessary to represent subject matter truthfully without any artificial touches to it.
