Research Question:
Do the health risks from using cell phones over power the necessity for them in modern times.
Introduction:
Everyone has been told that mobile phones pose a great health risk to them, and that they are one of the main causes of cancer, but is this really true? Are mobile phones as bad a health risk as we are made to believe? Billions of people around the world are connected due to mobile phones, which means that billions of people face the supposed dangers that mobile phones present.
Cell phones work from using electromagnetic waves which are transmitted through space at the speed of light at very specific frequencies. Cell phones are the most rapidly growing source of electromagnetic energy in the world. Cell phones are full-duplex devices which use one frequency for listening and a second frequency for talking, this enables both people to talk simultaneously. The waves transmitted by mobile phones is received by a mast and from here the signals are passed onto its base station. The base station routes the calls onto their specific destination. (Woodford 2014)
Hypothesis:
The hypothesis is that although the use of cell phones may pose health risks to people, there pros will substantially outweigh their cons.

A huge amount of lives are saved and problems solved due to phone calls made by people in distress. Mobile devices allow people to phone emergency services if they find themselves in a situation where urgent assistance is needed eg; medical emergencies, hostage negotiations, criminal activities, uncontrolled fires the list is endless. A study conducted in the UK showed that cell phones were the fastest way one could call for help in the case of an emergency and as a result of this more lives were saved when a cell phone was used in emergencies than a landline.
