The career that is most interesting to me is Endocrinology. Endocrinology is the study of the endocrine system. An endocrinologist monitors the release of hormones into the bloodstream and how it affects other organs. People who require an endocrinologist normally have a type of thyroid disease or a hormone imbalance caused by a number of other diseases. An endocrinologist must be able to identify and create an action plan for any number of diseases.
The job of an endocrinologist is to study the endocrine and the exocrine systems. Their responsibility is not only to study the functions of these systems but also to monitor the diseases. The diseases and disorders of the endocrine system include: Adrenal insufficiency, Cushing’s disease, Growth

Normally your patients are with you for quite a long time; this makes it your responsibility to help them cope with whatever disease they may have. Being an endocrinologist is a full time job, even when you are at your home, you still may be working on diagnosing a patient due to their medical tests. Similar careers include: Ophthalmologist, Neurologist, Oncologist, and Pediatrics. The main similarity between these careers is the focus on biology. All of these careers require a doctorate degree and a focus on a particular bodily system or function. These careers require you to take the basic academic classes with a focus on science [Biology Careers and Related Organizations].
Although becoming an endocrinologist will require a lot of hard work, it will be well worth the trouble. Endocrinology affects every single person in a variety of ways. An endocrinologist can improve the lives of their patients dramatically and they can help other physicians diagnose and treat a variety of diseases.
