The Egyptians had over 2000 Gods, Goddesses, and Deities for every aspect of their lives. Some well-known gods and goddesses such as Ra, Isis, and Horus are still, in some religions, worshiped. Ra was known as the “Sun God” and is considered the most important god of the Ancient Egyptians. His appearance was a human body with hawk head wearing a headdress with a sun disk on his head. Her appearance was a woman with a headdress in the shape of a throne with cow horns and a sun disk in the middle. She was the mother of Horus, and because all the Pharaohs were considered the “Living Horus”, she was a very important goddess. She is also worshiped by religions today, such as the Pagan religion.
