Today New York City, if all the people walking up and down the busy streets were all gathered together, what would be the one precious item that they would be in possession of? One would probably think it is a wallet; however that is only partially correct. Nowadays the item most people carry with them is actually their smart phone. Now going back to the group of people, if all those people took a survey on what technology they own in their residence, what would be the number one item all the households have in common? Besides electricity, most residents would claim that they own a computer. Some individuals may claim that a smart phone is practically a computer and phone integrated into one device, or that today’s computers can also make phone calls, hence the need for both is unnecessary. However, even though these two devices are able to be combined together, they both have their major differences. For example, in Should We Consider the Smartphone a Computer? John C. Dvorak proclaimed that, “the main difference is that one is portable and the other is not” and “another difference is power.” This means that each electronic has its respective capabilities; however both electronics may not share all of their features with each other, hence having to sacrifice one feature for another. In addition, some smartphones can actually be considered to surpass some of the best computers in several aspects. Deepu Balan asks in his article The Smart Phone vs the Computer that,” when was the last time that you saw a laptop with an 8 megapixel camera and LED flash, or were able to verbally speak through your laptop while browsing the web?” The answer to that question is probably never, because these computers are rare, difficult to gain access, and they are being priced very
