The new era of transgender has me confused. I recall Bruce Jenner and the sex change interview about being trapped in a man’s body although feeling like a woman. Mr. Jenner has since changed his mind this past week and now feels like he is tired of being a woman. Is this change of feelings due to public humility and disgrace? I would like to believe that Mr. Jenner found out the actual demands of a woman and became intimidated. In the book, “Essentials Of Sociology”, there is a story of a man that doctors made a woman after having his penis burned off in surgery. The man struggles his whole life in a women 's body only to find he was a man. Biology at its best, he was not taught by society how to be a man he was born that way. And his social influences wanted him to be a girl, so this is what he became. It wasn’t until years later that the man found out his sexual identity and changed back. I have five children, three boys, and two girls. They are all productive, thriving citizens of society in their gender roles. Their father and I teach them the differences of their roles: how to dress, talk (with etiquette), and play sports. Men and women are not created equal. Women will never be able to lift the same weight amount as men, and men will never be able to give birth to children. God made it that way for a reason. Women were made to be man’s helper, this does not mean we are weak or fragile in fact I think the opposite.
