A hero is often defined as someone with outstanding achievements and noble qualities. Everyone should have a hero. It does not matter if they are human or just in your imagination. My mom is my definition of a hero. In my opinion, she is more of a hero than any superhero. Anyone who knows her, knows that she has the biggest heart, and she would give the shirt off of her back to anyone in need. My mom is a protector, a leader, and a mother.
Protection is an emotional quality every hero carries with them. My mom is the greatest protector in my life. She has always looked out for me in every aspect of life, big or small. When I was young, she told me that I would always have a house to live in with somewhere to lay my head down at night, no matter how old I am. I have carried that with me from a very young age. Most people can say they have a mom, but many cannot say that they genuinely have a mother. There is a huge difference between being a mom and being a mother. A mom is just a title, or a label that you are giving after having a baby. A mother, on the other hand, has important qualities. They care, love, and support. My mom is all three. She cares about my wellbeing. She loves me unconditionally. She supports me in all that I do. God knew exactly what he was doing when he blessed me with my mom; she strengthens me and encourages me to be a better person. Seventeen years later, she is still my hero. A hero comes in all different shapes and sizes. Your hero does not have to be the biggest, most powerful person in the world. Your hero can simply be someone you care about and that cares about you.
