Every person is afraid of something. Every person experiences anxiety, nervousness, and even feelings around certain people. (Fear, unpleasant and stressful, is caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous or likely to cause pain or threat.) Fear is something people deal with at one time or another. Most people experience it as children and condition to respond in many different ways. (Certainly) fear is what shows us how to be careful because, self protection is primitive. (Although,)Many people have dreams he/she may wants to accomplish but, fears hold those dreams or goals back. Fear is an emotion that overrides our intelligence. Overall, one of the biggest obstacles to reaching and achieving a goal is a person's own fear. Types of fears come in the thousands. (Some of the most common fears include heights, public speaking, insects, and animals, causing people to act in fear, causing anxiety.) Fear is different with every person. Fear can come from past experiences or just something a person was born with. Fear is one of the top obstacles in a person achieving their goals. (Even so,) fear can cause a person to develop a negative mindset. The way a person thinks towards achieving a goal can play a major role in its success. A person may get scared he/she will not do good in an interview which may cause a person to think negatively because of fear. If a person lives with fear, it is hard to overcome setbacks. Fear will block a person's focus and cause a person to not see the progress towards he/she future possibilities. With fear can also come phobias. A phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of someone or something. Millions of people suffer from phobias everyday of their lives. Different types of phobias can occur in many forms. The most common physiological disorder in America is a social phobia. This is a fear of social situation and interactions with other people that can bring feelings of judgement, evaluation, self-consciousness, and scrutiny. This phobia can cause a person to develop anxiety in any social situation. This later can lead to social isolation. Social isolation can exacerbate a person's feelings of low self worth, loneliness, depression, and shame. When going for a …show more content…
People fail to recognize the impact of fear but, the only way to to diminish a fear is to conquer it. Many steps can help a person conquer their fear. However, some steps may be different for different people. First, develop self-confidence (Daskal 45). This is a fear a person must master. A person will never achieve he/she goals without having confidence and believing it is possible. A person should know the state of mind to create at anytime no matter what the circumstance may be. Second is motivation. Motivation plays a vital role in accomplishing any dream or goal. Staying connected to motivation keeps a person on the path to success (Daskal 44). It is important to always keep that motivation in the front of the mind. Third is to build self-discipline. To conquer a fear a person should always be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. Fourth is commitment. One of the fastest ways to get results is to stay committed. Commiting involves being accountable for what a person says he/she will do even if fear stands in the way (Daskal 46). Finally, if a person finds themselves wanting to turn back due to fear it is important that a person enhances the commitment and motivation practiced (Daskal
