Frankenstein doesn't believe what just happened he only questions himself on why he has to “…relate this destruction of the best hope and the purest creature of earth” (203)? Unable to compose himself victor looking at a lifeless and inanimate human, pale and limb. The monster grinning through the window, not necessarily happy but proud of what he has done, killing the one thing victor has loved for so long and the thing that drives victor to live. His creation has caused much destruction and victor fears the death of ernest and his father are soon to come. Tortured in the novel both the monster and Frankenstein, the cause of the monsters terrible life is because he was created, ugly and misunderstood the creature becomes excluded from society, and tries to humanize himself through knowledge of language. The monster can never really become human and fit in to society he turns on his creator, because of that and wants to ruin his life by killing his family and the ones he love. Victor selfish but “…began to reflect on their cause— the monster…” (206) he created the birth of all evil and he has this “god” like stature which is why making the monster was so important to him in the beginning. This scientific breakthrough was his one thing that would make him and out of the box creator but he couldn't tell anyone because it was a crazy and far to advance for the time period he was in. 1800s, this era in time has only began to skim the surface of advanced technology, so if people found out about the monster it would be a disaster. Conflict would arise and people wouldn't know what to do with there lives anymore. If you found out that the person you saw walking on the street was created in a lab you wouldn't know what to do and it would cause you to question everything you've ever thought
