Copernicus was the first astronomer to bring up the idea that earth was not considerably universe, instead he was the idea that our solar system is heliocentric, meaning the sun is the center of the universe. The idea that assigned was the center of the universe brought many other questions, such as, “why do objects fall to the earth if it is not the center?”. Copernicus also explained the axis tilt, and how it accounted for seasons. He work out his theory and wrote a manuscript. For a while he only shared it with very close friends, but in 1540, he was finally ready to make a book. It was published in 1543 and was called “On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Bodies”.
