Courtroom participants most have professional standards when serving the public. In Kenneth Olsen’s case the prosecution withheld information. In Brian Adcok case there was ineffective assistance of his counsel. In Judge Amanda F. Williams her court room was not properly ran. Because of theses misconduct, two defendants in these cases were able to appeal their court’s decision.…
Discuss the dual court system in the United States, and the structure of the federal court system, and your home state court system. The structure of the American court system has been viewed as complex and confusing as federal and state courts differ in jurisdiction, and types of cases that can be handled at the many different levels. The Supreme Court is the ultimate decision maker in cases that has been appealed regarding decisions made at the lower level of federal and state Supreme Courts. The dual court system operates within the boundaries of the state and federal court systems.…
You can break the law in many ways, even when you do not recognize that you are doing it. Frank Trippett, in his passage “A Red Light for Scofflaws” claims that Americans believe that law-and-order is threatened by things such as violent and major crimes, he believes that the foundations of social order is shaken when citizens do not take the law seriously. Trippet supports his argument by first describing the actions that citizens take to not pay enough attention to the law. He gives evidence of the crimes that people commit in order to make people aware of how easily the law is broken, and how it does not register in their minds. The author creates a serious, factual tone and presents it to the people that do not recognize the things that they do to break the law.…
Danforth’s demonstrates this in Act three. “DANFORTH: “No, old man, you have not hurt these people if they are of good conscience. But you must understand, sir, that a person is either with this court or he must be counted against it, there be no road between.” (III.87).…

Jacobs wanted to take her daughter Louisa across seas to England as she got invited there. Harriet Beecher and Mrs. Willis did not want Louisa to go with Jacobs as it would have been too much for Jacobs to take care of. Since Louisa was still a slave girl Beecher and Mrs. Willis thought, “it would subject her to much petting and patronizing, which would be more pleasing to a young girl than useful” (Yellin, 483). After this episode, instead of having Beecher write her book, Jacobs decided to write it herself.…
On Thursday, November 12th, I visited the Fredericksburg General District Court of the 15th Judicial District of Virginia to observe cases beginning at 9:30 a.m. in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The Virginia General District Court is the lowest level of the Virginia court system and is the most common court citizens of Virginia have contact with. The General District Court is a limited jurisdiction trial court that conducts trials involving traffic infractions and other criminal misdemeanor offenses, hears civil cases involving amounts of under $25,000, and holds preliminary hearings in felony cases. They do not conduct jury trials and all cases are heard and decided by the judge. There are 32 judicial districts of the General District Court serving…
The type of court structure we have in the United States is a dual court system. This means that every state has its own judicial system, that’s separate from the federal system, which is the same for every state. The state court includes trial courts of Limited Jurisdiction, Trial Court of General Jurisdiction, Intermediate Courts of Appeals, and the Appellate Court for a last resort. The Federal Court System includes District COurts, Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the Supreme COurt of the United States.…
The court structure in the United States is a dual court system. This means that there is a separate federal system and a separate judicial system locally and for each of the states. The United States Supreme Court is the only place where these two systems connect. The courts have jurisdiction which gives them the authority to hear and decide cases. These jurisdictions are composed of the original jurisdiction, which has the authority to hear the case when it is first brought to the courts.…
Their answer was to establish multiple new courts at different levels of jurisdiction; including trial, appellate, and supreme court levels. They assigned particular duties and responsibilities to each level of court, from regulating ordinances and city laws to handling minor disputes like property and divorce. One especially important model that was adapted for use in state courts was the New York State Field Code of 1848. This code clarified jurisdictional claims of different issues and gave specifics in the matter of court procedures and regulations. It also established a set of simplified rules for pleadings and how they were to be brought before the court in different situations.…
When justices on the bench of the United States Supreme Court make their respective decisions on a case, they are faced with two outcomes. The first is that they can decide to overturn a decision from a lower court, deem a federal law unconstitutional, or nullify other federal or state statute. When the Supreme Court changes previous statute or overturns a previous court decision, it is judicial activism. But when the Supreme Court decides to uphold precedent, upholding laws passed by Congress or state legislatures, or strictly adhering to the original text of the Constitution, it is judicial restraint. Although the aforementioned terms do not have any overlap in their definitions, it can often be seen that both of these judicial practices can be implemented in a single Supreme Court ruling.…

If the demands will not be met, there will be no respect and no other benefits given back in…
R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Respect is more than just a deep admiration, it is an action, a behavior, a state of being. In American culture, the marriage is a mutual focus. The woman and man are equal.
