Once upon a time in a fairy tale land lived a wolf. Not the “Big Bad Wolf” who follows Little Red Riding Hood and eats Grandma, no this wolf’s name was not menacing, it was Rufus. Rufus was a smart, regular wolf who didn’t follow little girls to their grandmother’s house to eat her and the old lady. He had dark grey fur, and big, intense yellow eyes, and gnarly yellowed fangs. Now when most people see a wolf they are afraid and want to get away, but Rufus was very kind-hearted well if you don’t make him mad, he became very demanding when he was mad. Rufus started looking around for clues, there wasn’t anything that really stood out. The obvious thing to do was to look for the intruders by following the footprints… after lunch first. Rufus walked deeper into his cave to his kitchen, all the wooden cupboards were gone too! He turned around and was happy to see his refrigerator, his wonderful, beautiful refrigerator. He opened it and found a leftover ham and cheese sandwich and a little bit of milk. After eating his lunch, he bent down and got a scent of the furniture stealing burglars. He started to follow the footprints, they went into the woods, over rocks, under logs, up hills and through the valley. He soon found a clue of who or what these strange intruders were. There was a big pile of mud that looked like it was rolled in and splashed around. So he found his culprits… they were pigs! He thought about all the meals he could make with three plump little piggys! He kept walking and came to a clearing, in the valley below he saw a house. This house looked very odd, it was out in the middle of nowhere and looked very poorly built. Rufus creeped towards the strange straw house and knocked on the straw door. A little pig looked
