“Relations between United States and European police agencies will become more intimate as formal relationships prolife-ate and informal bonds deepen and expand” (Klosek, 1999, pg 605).
It doesn’t matter what Country you are, everyone wants justice to be served and will work together when it is needed and necessary. Germany and the U.S have a good working relationship and will continue to work together when it is needed and help each other when needed. Both want to eliminate crimes and detain suspects to keep their citizens safe.
The next item to be discussed is the Policing System of the two countries, U.S and Germany. In the U.S we have over 17000 agencies alone this includes national, state, county, and municipal levels (CliffsNotes, 2015). These include FBI, ATF, DEA, Marshals, HWY Patrol, Sheriffs, INS and many more agencies. Germany on the other hand does not have that many agencies within the country and only Bundepolizei and Bundeskriminalamt have nationwide
