For example, youths are referred for anger management due to demonstrating the aggressive or disruptive behavior. There are judicial systems that may mandate the completion of an anger management course of youths adjudicated of a crime. A cognitive behavior group therapy class is useful for the youths whose anger interferes with clear thinking, inability to be in control of his/her actions, and whose defensive anger creates relational and daily functioning difficulties. The cognitive behavior group therapy model provides clients with the benefit of connecting with others who share similar challenges. This model has an affective, cognitive, and behavioral component. Hence, the whole man is made up of the body, soul, and spirit. The cognitive behavior therapy can teach needed skills those clients to change negative thought patterns to positive ones. Renewing the mind is strength cognitively as well as spiritually. The Word declares in Romans 12:2 NIV, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God 's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will”.
