i. Chipotle’s Short and Limited Menu gives it an edge in the restaurant industry; it’s unique, values customers and, it enables fast service. It offers a wide range of sides like cheese, salsa and guacamole for a great combination. Chipotle offers four items on its menu that have been dependable and proven for a while; Competitors have failed to imitate, and perfect this menu strategy. Customer Service. Another core competence chipotle possesses is their friendly skilled employees and their ability to serve at high speed environment effectively. They are highly trained, motivated and work as a team to customize each customer’s meal as customers move in cafeteria style line. iv. Chipotle faces a challenge as it expands to find enough sustainable meat that meets their standards. Chipotle dropped pork from their menus because one of their major supplier’s pork couldn’t meet their standards. The Chain also announced that it was going to import grass feed beef from Australia; there is in no enough local supply.
