2. The stereotypes of a Chinese American were that they were law-abiding citizens, humble people, bookworms and the ones who were on top of the economic ladder.

Chiu wanted everyone to know that yes, the Chinese Americans were overachievers and hard working but there is another side to them that people don't know of which includes them being thieves, kidnappers, murderers and even rapist. He wanted to show everyone that they are just like any other human being and they to make good and bad decisions in life.

Chiu illustrates “superhuman” and “subhuman” very descriptively. He describes that the stereotypical superhuman are the ones who are academically and economically successful in life.
