I like to say that blueberries are the king of antioxidant fruits. I add a cup of blueberries to this one smoothie and I gain 4 grams of fiber, 24 % of my recommended daily value of Vitamin C, 36% RDA of Vitamin K (to help my blood clot), and 25% of manganese. These three vitamins is a must for me. Last but not least I add a serving of Chia seed. Chia seeds are the tiniest nutritional powerhouses on earth. They provide amazing sustained energy. As a mother of three, student, and wife I need all the energy I can get. In one small ounce of this amazing seed I get 11 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein, 9 grams of fat (5 of these are Omega-3s), 18% of my daily value of Calcium, 30 % manganese, 30% magnesium, and 27% phosphorus. There is also a few other extremely important ingredients but I can’t write a novel. I love the fact that when I eat chia seeds I don’t get as hungry as fast. I find that to be a huge benefit.
