Character Analysis Of Johnny In The Outsiders

The hero in the Outsiders could be more than one person, from Ponyboy even to Steve! But there is always one character that sticks out from the others, and that character is, Johnny Cade. Johnny was the character people would least expect to be the hero of the story, he was nice, helped others, and even saved someone's life! But others like Pony and Dally can be considered heroes just for willing to help others if needed. But Johnny did more than just help others and be nice, he was a hero.

Johnny Cade was the kid who was scared of everything, shy, and small. He made all of the Greasers get along, and not fight. But when he died, Dally broke out and got himself killed. Johnny was nice, helpful, respectful, and if he had to save someone’s life, he would. Johnny was jumped by Bob and his friends, but Bob had rings and cut Johnny up bad and he was beat up pretty badly. Bob eventually pays for it later on. Cherry was getting being harassed by Dally, Johnny had had enough and told Dally to stop before something bad happens, luckily Dally didn’t slug Johnny.(mainly because it’s Johnny, no one in the gang could hurt Johnny.)
