John Emerich and Edward Dalberg states in a document, “The ideas of the philosophies were not directly responsible for the outbreak… the spark that changed thought into action was supplied but the Declaration of American Independence...The American example caused the Revolution to break out…” (Acton, Emerich, Dalberg). Having France help America fight for independance caused the people to rebel because it gave them hope and ideas that they can also fight for rights and a better country. The country was in debt, the people were starving, and many were not satisfied with the rulers, so America ultimately caused the rebellion of France.
