Cornbread Pans
You can savor flawless cornbread each time if you know how. These iron forms come in a variety of sizes, most having the mold of an "ear" of corn (known as corn stick pans), but can also be found with other creative imprints. The trick is to coat the seasoned pan with shortening and pre-heat for 20 minutes, then pour in the cornbread batter and bake according to your recipe.

Waffle Forms
If you are bored with pancakes, a waffle iron is ideal and delivers crispy-edged waffles with ease. Looking much like a pie iron, you can give each person their own form to cook with, just like roasting marshmallows
Pie Irons
These wonderful cast iron tools are fun for all. Especially good at making mini pies or tarts, it is basically a small, square, hinged box with two long tongs sticking out. The ends of the tongs have handles, and holding the tongs together keeps the box closed for cooking. Open them up to drop your fresh cherry tart or apple pie on the plate for eating.
Trivets, Grill Press
These highly functional tools are very much worth having in a cast iron kitchen. Trivets serve as a protection from hot items, but iron trivets can also be heated and used to keep a dish warm once cooking is finished. Another handy item is the iron grill press. Its heavy weighted iron block speeds the cooking process. Combined with a griddle, place these devices on top of meats for even, quick cooking. When not in use, simply set at the side of your griddle to maintain it's heating for any additional cooking. Don't forget to season these too!
