Bronislaw Honig was a 7 year-old Jewish boy who was born Tuesday, October 8, 1935. He was one of the 1.5 million Jewish kids who were executed during the holocaust. Bronislaw’s parents were David (59) and Rose (57) Honig. Rose worked as a dressmaker and David worked in a hardware store. Bronislaw’s grandmother often stayed home to take care of him while his parents worked.

The Hong family lived in Crawcow, Poland until the German officials began to capture all of the Cracow Jews. Bronislaw’s parents were sent to Plaszow and his father was force to work outside of the camp. Bronislaw did not go with his parents. Instead, they arranged plans for him to go with Jewish policeman. Unfortunately, the ghetto where the policeman lived was being evacuated and Bronislaw’s father made arrangements to bring Bronislaw back with him to Plaszow, hidden in a suitcase. Three days

They were not allowed to leave the fort, they had to visit with family through the barbed-wire fence, and their mail was searched, but after a while they received passes that let them out into the city. If Bronislaw went to New York and his parents went too, then they all would have started their lives with no worry of being killed for their race.
Hitler had all the German soldiers on his side during WWII. What if in the middle of the war, half of the Nazis started to feel guilty and they turned on Hitler only 2 days before Bronislaw was killed? Do you think that the half that turned would be able to stop the other half of the army from killing over 1 million more Jews?
Some of the luckier Jewish children who survived the Holocaust by hiding in an attic or basement, or by being rescued and saved in refugee camps like Fort Onario, lived to tell their story. Unfortunately, Bronislaw Honig was not one of these luckier Jewish children. He and at least 1.5 million children were killed by the time WWII was
