Young Martin Luther King Jr. seen the racism and could not get away from it he thought racism, discrimination and segregation was something that was in Gods will for him to fight against. In 1948, Martin Luther King Jr. earned a sociology degree from Morehouse College while he was there he worked really hard on what he was studying, and they nominated him to be student body president and he got the student body president award for his class that year. Martin met President Benjamin E. Mays at the Morehouse college and he had a big influence and impact on Kings look on racism and equal rights, he encouraged him to think about Christianity as a force of social change he graduated and went on to attend doctor school at Boston university where met his wife Coretta Scott, she wanted to be a singer and song writer and musician, at the New England Conservatory school in Boston.
