In my connection map I wrote about the bottlenose dolphin. It was a very important species because many other animals relied on it. This made it a keystone species. The bottlenose dolphin is a predator and prey. The great white shark feeds off of the bottlenose dolphin. The dolphin eats crabs, mackerel fish, and shrimp. The crabs eat phytoplankton and seagrass. The mackerel fish just eats phytoplankton. The crab eats algae, kelp and phytoplankton. This evidence supports the claim that I made because by taking out those dolphins the seas would be overpopulated by the shrimp, fish, and crabs. Whatever they eat would be underpopulated because of how many of these …show more content…
What they did was they took wolves and placed them into the park. The wolves started to eat the deer.. The deer were overpopulated and eating all of the plants and grass. As the wolves started to kill the deer the deer started avoiding certain places. The places that were being avoided by the deer were starting to grow back. This caused many other species to come back into Yellowstone. Everything was gaining with the wolves being placed in the park. even the rivers were adapting to having wolves in the ecosystem. It was like a reverse domino effect. The domino effect is usually negative but every animal pretty much got positive things from this. This evidence supports the claim I made because it shows the positive effects of putting an animal into an ecosystem and how much it increased the
