To begin with, According to Timeforkids.com Malala stands up for girls education because in her hometown Swat Valley, Pakistan, the Taliban took away girls rights for education and Malala wanted a change. Malala wants every kid to have education. Her dad is a teacher so that would really make a difference in trying to get every kid to have education. Since Malala stood up for her rights one day when she was coming home from school a Taliban gunman shot her in the head and she was quickly rushed to the hospital. Even though Malala got shot in the head she kept on fighting to get girls education. She has become a symbol of hope too. Ever since that incident happened Malala has set up the Malala fund. Alex lin lives in Rhode island and is 16 years old. One day Alex came upon a Wall Street Journal article. In the article it talked about e-waste and how it was affecting the environment in a bad way. Then, he wanted to help the environment so he created team WIN which stands for Westerly Innovations Network. Team WIN then created a drive for anyone who would donate their used electronics.
