Duties of PTs include reviewing their patients’ medical history, diagnosing functions, and developing plans for the patients (Bureau 2). Also, they diagnose and treat individuals to help them move and relieve pain (American 12). They will need to report to doctors if they need to ask something about a patient’s history. A physical therapist will have to be in charge of a budget if they own their own business and then they also will be in charge of the employees that work under them. The minimum required education is 3 years and the max is 7 years (Bureau 4). “All licensed Physical Therapists must graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.” For going to college the maximum years that person will then get their license to become an official physical therapist (American 1). In state tuition to go to college costs $14,427 and out of state costs $29,157 (American 2). Over 200 programs in the U.S. have physical therapist programs to attend.
