basketball is better than football because less players get injured.football statics shows that football player get over 60% concussions per 100,000 players , also per game or practice.basketball statics shows that 22% of all male basketball players sustained at least one time loss injury each year. The percentages show approximately 42% of injuries were to ankles and foot injuries, far outnumber other injured body categories such as hip/thigh ,and knee(9%). Basketball is better because it is not only widespread in the united states,but it is also all over the world.when it comes down to football,it is not an national sport,even if a few countries attempt to have NFL nights.Football is often referred to as American football because it is an …show more content…
“NBA players earn the most of all major American sports leagues”.” Part of this has to do with the exploding global popularity of NBA basketball, but the large salaries in basketball are mainly because the number of players on a team is much less than the number of players on a professional football team. “The average NBA salary was $5.15 million in 2012, the median salary was around $2.5 million, and the lowest paid NBA players earned $473,6 Another reason why basketball is then football because basketball is played by both men and women -- at elementary school level, in HS, in college, in semi- and professional leagues. Yes, the men's games tend to be more athletic, faster paced, etc. But it's always encouraging to see women competing not necessarily alongside them, but on an even scale as them. And they don't need to break all sorts of sex/gender norms
