According to the Refugee Council of Australia, 65% of current enterprises are comprised of refugees from non-English speaking backgrounds; these create economical opportunities for not only fellow refugees but also Australian residents. However there are some negative affects that migration has on Australia, for example the majority of Australians are irritated of refugees. An increasing number of citizens say refugees are threatening our stability and taking the funds that are needed to improve the lives of citizens, for example by expenditure on building more detention centers. The Australian government tries and help refugees as much as they can, for example on 9 September 2015, they announced that it would make an extra 12,000 humanitarian places available in response to the conflicts in Syria and Iraq, also provide up to 510 hours of free English lessons for eligible adult migrants and humanitarian entrants, there is also an interpreting service for people who do not speak English and for agencies and businesses that need to communicate with their non-English speaking …show more content…
Source 7 shows us all the Appea projects that are underway. Appea estimates that they will create at least 110,000 more full time jobs, for the next 2 projects. There are many push and pull factors when it comes to migrating and changing nations. With a lot of the Earth now urbanised there is a constant demand of having an environment that you don’t need to be pushed away from. Push and pull factors applies to everyone that is migrating and moving. People who fled from Syria thought about the reasons why they should leave Syria, like so they could give their children a better life and or give themselves a better life style and people who moved to Australia for the mining boom considered the benefits of having a mining job, they think about being FIFO workers or being a permanent resident. These factors apply to any situation and will always have positive and negative impacts on the country they’ll arrive
