Poverty is like a disease that has a cure, it is just too far away and too expensive to pay.

In most public schools a uniform is required and the child’s family maybe unable to afford that.
Even if they do afford it, who is to say that they will be able to get more than one pair? Having only one pair of uniforms will result in them getting tattered faster. The dress code does not allow you to wear tattered clothing and they will punish and dismiss the student, which will cause the child to fall behind even farther than before.

Poverty effects an individual’s health as well. People that are less fortunate tend to live in unsanitary conditions. They may live under a bridge, in an abandoned house, or a low income apartment. Whichever it may be, it can be unsafe and cause an individual to be unhealthy. The living condition can and will affect hygiene, because they may not have running water or personally hygiene items like soap, toothbrushes, and deodorizer. When someone is unable to keep up with their personal hygiene it can lead to serious infections. When living in poverty, eating nutritiously is an everyday struggle. By not eating good or not eating often enough can result in malnutrition, especially in children. The parents are most likely going to be unable to get the medicines and vaccines that the child will need to survive and it will ultimately result in death.
Poverty has a huge effect on the metal wellness of an individual. Cognitively an individual can fall behind because their mind will not function like others. They did not get the education they needed to grow efficiently, so at this point they are behind. Their mind will make them feel like no one cares about them. Because they have been mentally scarred by traumatic experiences, such as deaths, murders, harsh judgement and incarcerations; they have been traumatized. This makes individuals think differently from a well child or individual. They become paranoid and feel that everyone is plotting against them. They are ultimately afraid of people trying to hurt them.
Society’s outlook on the poor is that they are all thieves, trouble makers and thugs. The poor usually steal to provide for their families as a last resort. These particular individuals have
