Arguments About The Parking Process

Improved Essays
Some students that attend to Delgado complain about the parking and the parking decals. The parking for students are limited to the “yellow” lines and the teachers/faculty are limited to the “white” lines. I have come to believe the school is limited on parking for students. Reasons being is with the school building more buildings and expanding them, it takes up some of the parking lots. Parking lots are around building 1, building 10, building 2, and the student life center. The parking at building 1 has been reduced due to the new building that has been recently built, mostly for the teachers/faculty and very few for the students. The parking at building 2 is also mostly for teachers/faculty which is where most visitors and parents park.

If one would go around and ask the constituents of College of Dupage about their biggest issue on campus some would complain about the cafeteria food chains, the educational policies but the one complaint you would hear the most would be parking. Every year there are about 28,000 students who enroll, meaning they all attend by either riding the bus or driving. Majority of them drive, considering the fact that they are also new drivers who enjoy their newfound freedom. Since that is the case most students can't find parking, therefore they look to other options such as taking the bus, carpooling, or even scheduling classes later on in the day. Most would say the best solution would be to build a bigger parking lot or parking garage, which is…

As you may know, many of the students at Bloomsburg University commute and one area where students are permitted to park is the Geisinger Hospital parking lot area. Many students have complained about the lack of lightning. Being a solar street light construction company we would like to propose to have additional lights installed within the lots and the areas going down to the parking lot. We also propose installing lighting in the blue parking lot on upper campus. This lot is used by students that keep their car at the university while staying in campus dormitories.…

Speeding tickets are citations that are written and delivered by police officers in the event that a motor vehicle operator violates the traffic laws in a particular area. These items are the main topic in the satirical essay “An Unassertive Proposal”. The author provides much evidence to reveal this hidden subject. The first evidence that reveals that the essay is a bout speeding tickets is the references that are given to policemen. Flashing lights being seen in a person’s review mirror is an indication that he or she has been pulled over by the police.…

The large parking lot has recently been outfitted with solar panels to provide both shade for cars and electricity to power the campus. It is a thoughtful detail but one of many that distinguishes the design of the school from the prototypical format of other schools. An extensive gate system is in place to direct visitors to the main administrative office building but students arrive via the side gate located just to the left of the administrative office gate. Although security guards can be seen directing traffic throughout the parking lot and also posted intermittingly along the walkway onto the campus, there are no visible metal detectors at the school gates. Students seem cordial and socialize with friends in the common areas along the main…

Sanctuary Cities One of the arguments is that the citizens have technically no say because, the citizens just have a opinion in which they vote on but then the governor will always accept or decline what is done to the state. For instances the new bill that was passed today or on May 7th, 2017, SB4, SB4 is a bill to where it makes illegal immigrants to get deported back to their country. Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the State’s sanctuary city bill into law Sunday night during a Facebook Live event from his office. The new law is now the toughest anti-sanctuary city law in the United States and provides for criminal and civil penalties for police chiefs and sheriff’s that refuse to honor immigration detainers.…

Parking lots are designed to provide safe and efficient access to your destination. They should be rectangular in shape and use the majority of the space that is available. Parking stalls should be used around the perimeter and traffic lanes should go through two lanes of stalls. A well designed parking lot will not have many traffic or congestion issues. Parking angle is another thing to consider when designing your parking lot.…
